About Briony

I am fascinated by the process, problem-solving, and information sharing in general. As an artist that keeps my work fresh, it also means you never know quite what I’ll come up with! I make multi-media, one-of-a-kind pieces in ceramic, fiber, and polymer clay. The common threads are color, texture, and whimsy.

I taught for many years at the UW-Madison & Milwaukee, and have held workshops at Penland, Arrowmont, Peters Valley, Maiwa, Split Rock, Shake Rag Alley, and many guilds and design conferences. I received a Wisconsin Arts Board Fellowship in 2006 and show my work nationally and internationally.

I do my textile work at home and my ceramic work at Higher Fire Clay Studio in Madison WI. I sell my work at the Higher Fire Gallery and In the River Arts on Water Gallery in Prarie du Sac WI.
